Estimating Optimal Design Frequency and Future Hydrological Risk in Local River Basins According to RCP Scenarios

چکیده

In South Korea, flood damage mainly occurs around rivers; thus, it is necessary to determine the optimal design frequency for river basins prevent damage. However, there are not enough studies showing effect of climate change on hydrologic frequency. Therefore, estimate according future scenarios, this study examined urban flooding area and extreme rainfall that can in future. After estimating frequency, hydrological risks 413 local were evaluated Representative Concentration Pathway (RCP) scenarios 4.5 8.5 after regenerating daily rainfalls from HadGEM2-ES model into hourly using Poisson cluster. For RCP 4.5, increased relative established by 3.13% average. 8.5, 2.80% The 4.58% P2(2040–2069) period 4.39% P1 (2021–2039) 8.5. These results suggest will likely decrease, safety also decrease.

A New Hydrological Method for Estimating the River Bed and Drainage Basin Components of Erosion and Suspended Sediment Fluxes in River Basins

This paper uses the results of river suspended sediment flux (SSF) analysis to propose a new hydrological method for quantitatively estimating the river bed and drainage basin (sheet erosion, rill and gully erosion) components of total erosion intensity in river basins. The suggested method is based on the establishment of the functional power connection between mean monthly water discharges (W...

ArcEGMO-URBAN--hydrological model for point sources in river basins.

The new model ArcEGMO-URBAN aims at deterministic and spatiotemporal modelling of water, nitrogen and phosphorus fluxes from all urbanised areas of a river basin considering all potential sources. Pollution loads are calculated for discrete urban patches and balanced on the level of hydrological subbasins. Modelling results can be defined by the user of any level of spatial and/or temporal aggr...

Study of Current and Future Meteorological Drought Conditions using the CMIP5 Model Under RCP scenarios

Reducing or increasing the climate parameters such as temperature and rainfall as a result of the climate change process, causes a variety of droughts. In this study, the effect of climate change on meteorological drought in Yazd province is investigated. For this purpose, the drought time series were determined in two historical periods (1961-2005) and the future (2017-2100) by SPI and SPEI. H...

Future climate change impact on hydrological regime of river basin using SWAT model

Hydrological components in a river basin can get adversely affected by climate change in coming future. Manipur River basin lies in the extreme northeast region of India nestled in the lesser Himalayan ranges and it is under severe pressure from anthropogenic and natural factors. Basin is un-gauged as it lies in remote location and suffering from large data scarcity. This paper explores the imp...
